Some requests you send to the Insights Agents aren't one-offs: the same weekly report, the same tracker you update every Monday, the same file you check against fresh data every time. Now you can save any of them once as a
Skill
and run it again anytime, from chat, the Skills page, or the actions menu. What's New
- Skillsis a new way to save a request once and run it repeatedly: a name and a set of instructions the Agent follows the same way every time
- Create one three ways: ask the Agent to turn your current conversation into a Skill, write the instructions yourself from the new Skillspage, or upload a Markdown file
- A Skill can also reference a file you upload each time, like a list of corporate accounts and their negotiated terms, checked against fresh production data every time you run it
- Run a saved Skill from chat by typing a short identifier (like /gm-weekly-brief), from theSkillspage directly, or from the actions menu next to chat input
- If a Skill needs something from you first, like a property or a date range, the Agent asks before it runs
Why It Matters
A Skill isn't tied to any one kind of question, and it isn't limited to chat. It fits a report you send every week, a review that checks current data against a file you already maintain, or a tracker you keep coming back to and updating over time. Whatever the shape of your repeat request, saving it once means you stop rebuilding it and start just running it.
How to Get Started
Ask the Agent to save your next request as a Skill, or go to the new
Skills
page in the left-hand menu to write one from scratch. Give it a short name, and you're running it with a single command from then on.For a full walkthrough and more examples, read our help desk article: Skills in Insights
A Note on Editing
Asking the Agent to revise an existing Skill currently creates a new one instead of updating the original. To edit a Skill in place, open it from the Skills page directly.
