You're reviewing a multi-property portfolio spanning three currencies, and a revenue figure catches your eye. Is that 45,230 in USD, EUR, or GBP? Until now, you'd have to cross-reference a separate currency column or remember which filter you had set to be sure. Revenue, pricing, and cost values across Insights now carry their currency symbol built directly into the number, so you always know exactly what you're looking at.
What's New
- Revenue, pricing, and cost measures now display with their currency symbol (e.g. $, €, £) embedded directly in the value, no more generic, symbol-less formatting
- The symbol reflects the correct currency for each row, based on your currency selector filter or the property's group currency
- Live in tables and tooltips, and on chart data labels
- Rolled out across every major topic: Bookings, Pick-up, Pricing, Forecast Evolution, Rate Shopping, F&B, Booked vs. Stayed, STR, and Demand360
Why It Matters
This has been one of the most persistent sources of ambiguity in revenue reporting, especially for multi-currency property groups comparing performance across markets. Previously, the only way to see currency at all was a separate currency code column pinned to the far left of a table, and using it broke calculations and totals. Now the currency is part of the number itself, wherever it appears.
A Note on Current Limitations
This is a first release, and a few specific display cases aren't covered yet:
- Abbreviated values. If a table column uses "Use abbreviations for big numbers," the currency symbol won't currently show on those values. Turning on abbreviation overrides the display formatting that the symbol depends on.
- Calculated fields.Custom formulas built from other measures, such as a variance or delta between OTB, forecast, and budget, or an XLOOKUP-based Pickup column, don't currently carry the currency symbol. Only base measures do.
- Subtotals and totals.Column totals, row totals, and subtotals in tables don't currently show the symbol, even when the individual rows above them do.
- Chart axis labels. In charts, the currency symbol shows on data labels but not on x-axis or y-axis labels.
We're actively working to close these gaps and don't want that work to hold back symbol support for the revenue, pricing, and cost values you look at every day, which is the vast majority of what you'll see across your dashboards.
