We’re thrilled to announce that the final phase of our project to streamline Accommodation Revenue is now live! This update focuses on consolidating all Accommodation Revenue into a single, flexible, and customizable metric. This project has been months in the making, with progress updates shared in our previous posts.

Enhanced Customization and Industry Standards:
We’ve made changes to ensure that you can customize your reports by filtering and drilling down into the specific types of Accommodation Revenue that matter most to your analysis. These enhancements also ensure our revenue categorization aligns with industry standards, enhancing the reliability and comparability of your data.

  • Accommodation Revenue Category Filter:
    A new filter has been implemented that allows you to select one or more of the Accommodation Revenue Categories—Overnight, Day Use, or Additional Accommodation Revenue—making it easier to focus on the data that matters most.
📊 Optimization:
  • Tooltips for Transparency:
    New tooltips clearly indicate which revenue is being displayed, enhancing transparency and understanding of your revenue metrics.
📅 Planning:
  • Tooltips for Transparency:
    Similar tooltips in the Planning module help you easily identify the type of revenue represented, improving clarity in your revenue reports.
🔍 Insights:
  • Accommodation Revenue Description and Accommodation Revenue Category Dimensions:
    These new dimensions allow you to drill into your Accommodation Revenue and see the breakdown by transactional revenue descriptions at their most granular level or at a higher aggregate of Overnight, Day Use, or Additional Accommodation Revenue, respectively.
  • Consolidation of Revenue Measures:
    We’ve simplified our platform by removing all variations of Total Revenue and Additional Revenue measures across the Strategic Analytics and Performance Insights Explores. These have been consolidated into a unified Accommodation Revenue measure.
  • Migration of Existing Measures:
    All content that was using Total Revenue and Additional Revenue measures has been migrated to the corresponding Accommodation Revenue measure (e.g., Net Total Revenue STLY -> Net Accom. Revenue STLY).
  • Clarification on Revenue Categories:
    Accommodation Revenue now encompasses all types of revenue previously under Accommodation and Additional Revenue but excludes Cancellation Revenue. Importantly, all No Show revenue is now categorized under Accommodation Revenue.
  • Simplified Navigation:
    Reducing the number of revenue measures in our Explores makes it easier for you to find and use the data you need.

We’ve standardized the use of “Accommodation” revenue across the platform, including the Home Page, Quick View in Optimization, the Planning module and Insights, ensuring consistent data representation and usability.
